Georgia rifle season, early December, and the annual Buck Daze whitetail deer hunt in Damascus, Georgia. Michael Lee and Trey Wetherington. Full rut, bucks on their feet, and a camp full of guys hoping the streak stays alive. The first day was what it usually is. Moving blinds, scouting on the fly, seeing deer, second-guessing setups, and trying to get dialed before daylight. Nothing smooth. Nothing fancy. Just figuring it out as we went. Then the woods flipped. Bucks started showing up. Chasing hard. Moving through spots we scouted. One of those mornings when you feel behind until everything suddenly lines up. A big Georgia buck stepped out, the shot broke, and he went right down. Later that afternoon, it happened again. Another setup. More movement. Another buck down, this one right on the edge of the water. Not perfect conditions. But perfect execution. Just staying ready when it counted. Buck Daze, Damascus, Georgia. McWhorter 7 PRC. Grateful for good friends, good land, and a hunt that came together when it mattered. Check out more info on this hunt at www.BuckDaze.com
